Did your Christian Leaders ever tell you made up stories at church in order to keep you faithful?

I'm not Christian, so I don't really have any stories from Sunday School, but apart from that, I don't really understand your point. *All* religious stories are made up. Why are you so upset over that one? Is it because it's newer and more obviously made up, rather than older and more obscurely made up?
