Why are so few Christians willing (able?) to point out an "obvious false prophet" BEFORE the prophesy fails?

Are there? What makes you say that? Most Christians didn't go along with Camping, if that is what you are alluding to. They knew, like us atheists, that it was a nonsense, but for different reasons.
