Why Christians don't consult Jews on the interpretation of the Old Testament?

Hey a better question is why don't Christians Lear Hebrew and read the text in he original language without all the editing and translation errors? Probably because a. It takes work to learn a new language, and b.they find their English version to be inconsistent with the Hebrew text and some of the ideas they hold so dear won't be supported by the original text.
