Why Christianity has failed to provide hope?

Present generation is running behind the money and other worldly pleasures. But he did not think for a moment that a situation will come in his life also when this money, reputation, status, assents, prestige etc have no use. This is because man gives top priority to these worldly pleasures and he is trained to believe so by the society. But a true man is a man who is not influenced by money, assets, reputation, social status etc and even his life. Such a man have to suffer a lot from this sinful world, but he will enjoy the fruits of his labor in the afterlife.
